UNERCO provided the fuel supply of Kashima and Shimakaze ships of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) during their port visit to Istanbul on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the diplomatic cooperation between Türkiye and Japan.
Plaques and gifts were exchanged between UNERCO officials and JMSDF officials who visited the ships.
Comprehensive training will be given on ships visiting Istanbul for the open sea training course of Japan Naval Academy students, between 9 and 12 August, in order to practically improve their maritime skills in real sea conditions and gain international maritime experience.
