Ship Brokers Association published a thank you letter after the successful Bosphorus Shipbrokers’ Dinner 2024.
In the thank-you letter, it was reminded that Bosphorus Shipbrokers’ Dinner hosted more than 2,650 local and foreign names this year and said, “The business network formed by the gathering of hundreds of our industry stakeholders from all over the world has enabled our colleagues to exchange information and ideas.” “It is extremely gratifying”
The following statements were included in the letter:
Dear members, sponsors and industry stakeholders,
This year, we hosted more than 2,650 local and foreign guests in our beautiful Istanbul, with the contributions of our dear members, our umbrella organization IMEAK Chamber of Shipping, our sponsors and all our sector stakeholders, who contributed greatly to making Bosphorus Shipbrokers’ Dinner 2024 an unforgettable night.
With your support, Bosphorus Shipbrokers’ Dinner has become Turkey’s largest international maritime organization. As the Ship Brokers Association, we are truly proud to showcase the power and potential of Turkish maritime with such a meaningful and effective organization.
This success is far beyond our association; It is a value that we have created together for Turkish maritime and Türkiye. The Turkish maritime industry is doing things ahead of its time and increasing its capacity in both commercial and civil society areas every day.
Most importantly, organizations such as Bosphorus Shipbrokers’ Dinner ensure that this vision is adopted and institutionalized by all stakeholders of the sector. It is very important for us to imagine what doors Bosphorus Shipbrokers’ Dinner will open for our maritime and our country. We believe that every brick laid on this path will return multifold to all our sector stakeholders in the future.
It is extremely gratifying that the business network formed by the gathering of hundreds of industry stakeholders from all over the world enables our colleagues to exchange information and ideas.
In this way, Turkish sailors can act much faster in implementing international compliance and rules.
It is of great importance that our maritime industry quickly adapts to the world in solving environmental problems, especially climate change, which has become one of the most serious problems in the world in recent years.
Finally, we would like to emphasize the importance of the number of female colleagues who support our sector. One of the important items of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals is the empowerment of women and their contribution to production in every field. In this sense, Bosphorus Shipbrokers’ Dinner has once again shown how active a role women play in Turkish maritime, and how successful they are, especially in the brokerage profession.
Our members, sponsors and our entire maritime industry, which does not leave us alone with their participation, have a great share in achieving all these. Hoping to come together again in 2026 for a much more beautiful night, we would like to express our gratitude to all participants for their unwavering support.
In addition, BIMCO, FONASBA, ICS LONDON, HSA (Hellenic Shipbrokers’ Association), which do not leave us alone as the top organizations of the global maritime industry, and Prof. whom we hosted as our guest of honor. Dr. We also especially thank Hercules Haralambides.
Regards,
Ship Brokers Association Board of Directors
