Yalova-based Tersan Shipyard has completed the maintenance and repair works of the container ship Gabriel A in the Arkas Line fleet.
The ship also organized a celebration for this special milestone when it became Tersan’s 1000th repair project. A plaque was also presented to the ship in memory of the day.
We hosted for the first time 10 years ago
In the statement made by Tersan, “This ship has a special meaning for us as it is the first ship we repaired for Arkas 10 years ago. “Seeing the same ship as our 1000th project is a nice coincidence and a great honor for us and reflects the strength of our long-term cooperation.”
We still have a way to go
Tersan Shipyard Senior Port Captain Sadullah Altay said, “It is a great honor and happiness to have completed the 1000th project at Tersan Shipyard, where I took part in the 50th, 100th and 500th projects after the 37th project. “We still have a long way to go and every success is the result of strong teamwork,” he said.
The 1221 TEU Gabriel A has a length of 155.6 meters and a width of 24.5 meters.
