According to the news of GISBİR TV, the chairman of the board of directors Murat Kıran, who received a vote of confidence again at the GİSAŞ Elective General Assembly, where they were candidates with a single list, said that they held the general assembly, which was supposed to be held in March 2024, in August 2024 due to “public offering studies”.
Kıran, who stated that the necessary permissions were received from the Capital Markets Board (SPK) for GİSAŞ’s public offering application, said that they were planning to hold an extraordinary general assembly regarding this issue soon.
“We must be one voice, one breath”
Kıran said, “In the elective general assembly where more than 70 percent participation was achieved, our friends said ‘Continue with Murat Kıran and his team’ as a single list. We must be one voice, one breath.”
Kıran, who drew attention to the serious difficulties experienced when calculating cost and profitability in terms of increasing costs, said, “GİSAŞ is not a profit-oriented company. It is a structure where shipyard owners are partners. The decrease in the number of ships coming to customers is also affecting GİSAŞ. On the other hand, there are also problems in grit supply. We are experiencing many difficulties in terms of both manufacturing and transportation. I would like to thank my brother Aydın Alaftan from here. He fought so that the supply chain would not be disrupted. We expect some difficulties, but there is no problem we cannot overcome. What has humanity seen?”
