The vessel was named as Celtic Treaty by its owner Irish Mainport Holdings.
The ceremony took place on 25th April in Eregli Shipyard. VIP guests at the ceremonies included top-level executives from Med Marine’s C.E.O. Mr. Hakan Şen and Irish Mainport Holding’s C.E.O. Mr. David Ronayne as well as Erdemir’s Harbor Master Mr. Bülent Taşdemir, Chairman of Eregli Chamber of Commerce& Industry Mr. Aslan Keleş as well as Chairman of the Chamber of Maritime Mr. Oğuz Ünlüer.
The state-of-the-art Celtic Treaty, at 28.m in length, with 50+ tonnes bollard pull and two CAT3512C main engine is a versatile, multi-purpose, compact and state-of-the-art ASD design by Robert Allan Ltd which features efficient ship-handling, coastal towing, and other general purpose towing capabilities. RAstar designs have full escort capability.
Celtic Treaty set sail for her home port on 26th April and she will be operating in Foynes, Ireland by Celtic Tugs Limited.
