Galataport Istanbul, which has hosted the 8th ship since it entered service on October 1, will host 250 ships in 2022. It is expected that there will be 1.5 million people on the board, including the crew.
Figen Ayan, Galataport Istanbul’s Port Operations General Manager Deputy, stated that they expect cruise ships to come to Istanbul intensively after the meetings with MedCruise Union.
Figen Ayan said, “We are planning to reach the passenger ship traffic in our port, which we have been waiting for years, in a short time. We have received nearly 250 ship reservations for 2022. We will continue to contribute to cruise tourism with our cruise ships that we expect to host next year.”
