Ships that do not start working at the official start of their contracts on May 1st, will get involved on August 1st, which is the deadline according to the auction conditions.
Karpowership currently operates in 11 countries, 9 of which are in Africa. Ghana, Indonesia, Mozambique, Zambia, Gambia, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Cuba, Guinea Bissau, and Senegal stand out in the production map of the company, which commissioned its first floating power ship in Iraq in 2007.
Increasing its total power to 4,400 MW with 25 ships in its fleet, it plans to increase its capacity by 50 percent and adds 4 new countries to the list, including Brazil. The ships owned by the company have an installed power of 4,100 MW and provide direct electricity to 35 million people. Karadeniz Holding meets between 10% and 100% of the electricity needed in the countries where trade is made.
